A major element of any wealth creation or preservation strategy is insurance.
You cannot control the inevitable risks in life, however it is possible to control how you prepare for them.

Types of Personal Insurance

A death in the family or the financial burden of an accident or illness can have devastating effects on you, your family and/or business. Personal Insurance can alleviate the financial blow dealt by difficulties that may arise by covering debts, allowing for the future needs for children/dependants, or paying for medical costs.

Types of personal insurance cover which need to be considered within any financial plan include the following:
Life Cover – provides a lump sum payment to your beneficiaries in the event of your untimely death.
Total and Permanent Disability – provides a lump sum payment to you, in the event of your disability and inability to return to the work force.
Critical Illness – ensures you hold adequate cover to fund urgent medical and treatment costs, should they arise during your time of illness.
Income Protection – designed to partially replace your income in the event of your disability or illness and absence from the work force.
Business Expenses Cover – will provide funds to finance certain ongoing business expenses, in the event of a key member of the business becomes totally disabled.

ASC Financial Services analyses and provides recommendations on the types and levels of life insurances required, as well as implementation and on-going review. Please contact our Senior Financial Planner, Andrew S. Coates, for further information.
